Eliza & Ethan inspired weddings: Midnight

Midnight madness!

Midnight

The multiwrap Eliza & Ethan dress in Midnight is a gorgeous contrasting colour to your wedding dress. Your bridesmaids will love these dresses due to their versatility and they can tie them all differently to suit each individual.

As well as having your bridesmaids looking stunning in this deep, navy coloured gown, here’s some other ways to make midnight navy a perfect addition to your colour scheme!

The Flowers

midnight agapanthus

Agapanthus – these summer flowers are little, dainty bundles of joy. Although they are small flowers, they are a rich blue colour and are the perfect size to fit into a bouquet as fillers also.

midnight anemones

Anemones are famous for their dark centre and for a ‘midnight’ wedding, bright white petals with a deep navy centre is a stunning combination. These would look amazing with navy bridesmaids dresses.

The Cake

A recent wedding cake trend, specifically in this midnight navy colour is the chevron pattern which is shown in the first picture below. The navy chevron pattern is usually teamed with coral and navy colours which really compliment each other.

Using dark blue food colouring in the sponge part of the cake will give your cake a navy inner if you want a classic white cake. A hidden delight!

The third cake is a white three-tiered traditional cake but is decorated with navy lace giving it a classic touch.

Decor DIY:

Table number frames

Table number frames are an easy way to add some quirky character to your wedding. The frames can be bought from any discount store and then you can paint them whatever colour you want. For the background you can use old scraps of wallpaper, old bits of fabric, decorative paper – anything really, get creative! For the numbers, you can either buy the numbers (first picture) or you can use cardboard and simple cut out and paint the numbers.

How to tie:

Finally, here is our tutorial video on how to tie your Eliza & Ethan dresses as pictured.
