Once again it’s the time of the year for the all so glamorous SAG awards, where stars of the big screen and co. hit the red carpet to show us how fashion is done. Among the fashion statements made on the night, some made us inhale in awe and others made us stop and wonder what in the world they were thinking. From bold statement colours, to figure hugging garments and classic ball gowns, check out all the fashion below.
Many celebs kept the style of the dress simple, and let the colour stand out. Tina Fey wowed us all when she wore a Bright red Prabal Gurung dress and used statement earnings and a clutch to add a bit of elegance and glamour to the carpet. Sophia Vergara worked a figure hugging hot pink Vera Wang dress and as if that wasn’t enough pink, the Colombian beauty added a pink Jimmy choo bag. While the elegant Lily Rabe wore a bright yellow and white Lela Rose dress, is this choice may be a little sore or a little refreshing on the eyes?
This SAG awards were full of celebs wearing figure hugging dresses some making us want the dress, others making us happy we don’t have it in our wardrobes. I personally loved Kate Winslet in her emerald green Giorgio Armani dress. The “Titanic” beauty showed us all how to rock our curves no matter what age we are. Christina Hendricks wore a Christian Siriano dress… it definitely hugs her waist but is it to much material? Gaby Hoffmann wore a sparkling Rachel Comey dress leaving us undecided whether we should applaud her for her courage or boo her choice in gown. We did hear that it looked lovely in person… just didn’t translate well to camera… unfortunately..!
Now we move on to some of the bigger ballgown style frocks! Rachel Adams rocked a stunning Elie Sabb Haute Couture dress, the detail on this dress is fabulous. Laura Pepron wore a Carmen Marc Valvo Couture dress, the stunning Laura pulled this simple dress off in the most elegant manner (definitely a persona; favourite of the night). Last but not least the beautiful Kiernan Shipka wore a floral Erdem dress, bringing some youth and fun to the carpet. Kiernan is growing up in front of us in serious style!
Until the next Red Carpet,
