A night that was dominated by the powerful and beautiful words of some of the most famous faces in Hollywood – we’re looking at you Meryl Streep and Ryan Gosling! –  was a dream fashion affair! We really tried hard to pick a worst dressed but everyone was on their A game! We mean it, everyone!

First up, the queen of fashion herself, SJP! Sarah Jessica Parker certainly dressed to impress last night in this stunning white Vera Wang gown! And we can’t help but think her look is a little nod to the beautiful Princess Leia, the late Carrie Fisher! Some may say she wasn’t looking her best but we liked the (possible) nod to the late Ms Fisher.

Next up, and a regular on our ‘Best Dressed’ lists here at Alila HQ, Emily Ratajkowski. She looked stunning in this super chic and sexy Reem Acra gown. We adore this and have a feeling this look will be major come debs season. Like SJP some may have Emily on the worst not best dressed but lets be honest, with a body like hers she can really wear anything!

How could we talk about the 2017 Golden Globes and not mention our own, the beautiful Ruth Negga! We fell in love with Ruth in Love/Hate and now the world is falling in love with her! Harpers Bazaar crowned her the ‘Breakout Red Carpet Star of the Season’ and we can’t disagree for one second. Did you see her in that Louis Vuitton gown? #girlcrush

Blake Lively pulled it out of the bag once again in this stunning Atelier Versace gown. Could she be anymore beautiful? #goals

The Queen of the red carpet, Giuliana Rancic looked ready for spring in this stunning rose toned gown by designer Rani Zakhem. This is absolutely one of our favourites of the night. Elegant, chic, no need for plunging necklines or thigh high slits, Giuliana really epitomises elegance and beauty in this gown.

Justin Timberlake‘s wifey went for a heavy looking Elie Saab gown with a very daring neckline, really there wasn’t any! Liking the hint of colour from the 3D applique. 

Special mention to Hailee Steinfled.  Despite being just 20 years old Hailee has been gracing the red carpet for several years now and rarely gets it wrong.  This year, once again, Hailee looks absolutely incredible!  Considering her age she could have gone for a more daring, skin baring, bling look but we absolutely ADORE this Vera Wang chiffon dress.  Wow.

What a night! The bar has been set super high for the rest of awards season!
